The College Consortium for
International Studies (C.C.I.S.), a partnership of colleges
and universities -- two and four year, large and small,
public and private, domestic and foreign -- encompasses the
broad spectrum of international higher education. C.C.I.S.
members sponsor a variety of programs, notably study abroad
programs and professional development seminars for faculty
and administrators, which are designed to enhance
international/intercultural perspectives within the academic
community.
Truman State University, the
sponsor of the C.C.I.S. approved program in Russia,
provides an outstanding liberal
arts education to academically talented students at an
affordable price.
Truman is
Missouri's only highly selective public university,
according to the Missouri Coordinating Board for Higher
Education guidelines.
Truman ranked
sixth in the nation in 2003 among master's universities by
the number of students studying abroad according to Open
Doors 2004.
